Built by people who used to dread Sunday lesson planning
Meridian started as a side project between two teachers and a systems engineer. Six years later it runs coursework for over 400 organizations.
Our story
Meridian began in 2019 in the back room of a public library, where our founders, both former classroom teachers, were prototyping a way to stop losing lesson plans to five different tools that didn't talk to each other.
What started as a shared course outline template turned into a full platform once other teachers in the district asked to use it too. We spent the next two years building the parts nobody asks for in a demo: real accessibility support, SCORM import that actually works, and analytics a non-technical department head can read without a manual.
We didn't want to build software that wins procurement. We wanted to build software teachers would choose on their own.
Where we are today
Meridian now supports course delivery for K-12 districts, universities, and corporate learning teams across three countries. We're still a remote-first team of 38, and every new hire spends their first week talking directly to customers before writing a line of code.
